Finding overseas customers starts with defining the right market and company type—not downloading an unqualified list. WorkWiseInt helps teams search companies by category and location, review available business details and move selected prospects into a structured follow-up process.
Research the company before starting outreach
WorkWiseInt uses Google Places business information for category/keyword and location searches. Results may include a business name, category, address, website and phone where the underlying record provides them.
Where a public company website exists, Company Enrich can attempt to find relevant business details from that site. Coverage varies and every result should be checked.
The output is a research lead. It is not proof that the company imports your product, is ready to buy or is an authorised distributor.
A practical overseas company-research process
1. Choose a market for a reason
Define the country, region or city and the commercial reason for targeting it. Consider demand, route to market, logistics, product requirements, competition, service capacity and payment risk.
Public trade agencies, chambers and sector bodies can add context that a business directory cannot.
2. Define the company type
“Buyer” is too broad. Decide whether you need a distributor, wholesaler, contractor, installer, retailer, manufacturer or another business type.
Turn that profile into category and keyword combinations that companies in the market may use. A building-products exporter might test:
- façade contractor;
- building-material distributor;
- construction wholesaler;
- architectural products supplier;
- interior-systems installer.
Language and category usage vary by market, so compare several searches.
3. Review each candidate
Check whether the company actually serves the required sector, customer type and geography. Review the business website, product range, locations and other reliable sources.
Do not treat a category match as purchasing intent.
4. Enrich selected records
Growth and Pro workspaces can use Company Enrich, subject to member permission and available credits. The service can attempt to find business contact information on the public company website.
An empty result does not mean the company has no valid contacts. A found address is not automatically the right decision-maker. Verify the identity, role and lawful basis for contact.
5. Save only qualified prospects
After review, save the relevant company as a lead, customer or contact record according to your process. Keep research evidence and notes clear so another team member can understand why it was selected.
6. Move into CRM follow-up
Create the next action with an owner, due date, priority and notes. Personalise outreach around the company's real market and product fit.
Company research and outreach are different stages. This page does not present Outreachly as part of the research result or make a plan claim about it.
What the results do—and do not—tell you
They can help you identify
- businesses matching a category/keyword and location;
- available address, category, website or phone data;
- public website details for further review;
- candidates worth saving for follow-up.
They do not establish
- verified buyer, importer or distributor status;
- customs declarations or shipment histories;
- purchase intent or budget;
- authority of a particular contact;
- creditworthiness, sanctions status or legal suitability;
- a guaranteed response or sale.
WorkWiseInt does not provide customs data, shipment intelligence or a proprietary verified-importer database.
